Teresa is a native South Carolinian who attended Morris College in Sumter, SC where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree graduating Magna Cum Laude. She later received her Master of Science degree in counseling psychology and received her Licensure as a Professional Counselor from the State of South Carolina. She has over 20 years of counseling experience with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group settings. She has a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but also utilizes Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) theories to counsel her clients. Ms. Thompson feels that her “profession is not just a job, but a mission that affords me an opportunity to provide the highest quality of counseling with empathy and the utmost care for all clients.” Teresa accepts Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Blue Cross plans, and Medicaid. Teresa is based in the Greenville-area and will have limited hours in Columbia.
Suzanne W. Peebles is a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, and the creator of Columbia Northeast Counseling Services, LLC. She attended the University of South Carolina, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education, and a Master of Educational Counseling. Ms. Peebles began her career working with the University of South Carolina, United States Department of Labor, and Richland County School Districts in a joint program created to locate and help homeless and lower income youth to receive training and education for employability skills. She then went on to work at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice as a District Supervisor of Counseling Services for incarcerated youth before assisting with the opening of one of the first alternative school programs in South Carolina. In 1998, with over twenty years of experience, Suzanne opened private practice in the Northeast Columbia area, the area she grew up in and calls home.
Suzanne is passionate about establishing and maintaining a therapeutic, safe environment that is conducive to building a strong alliance between therapist and client. Over the years, she has been blessed by the opportunity and privilege to see personal growth in clients from many different backgrounds experiencing a variety of issues and challenges. Through her work, Suzanne has come to believe that any person can achieve the changes or relief from distress they want, if the conditions are there for their courageous self-disclosure to be released. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, her shih-tzu, gardening, travelling, and volunteering within the Columbia area.
Quintin Morris received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University before attaining licensure in South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Quintin is a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard where he actively serves as a Resiliency Training Assistant and Information Technology Specialist. Mr. Morris began his mental health career working with inpatient at Three Rivers Behavioral Health in their crisis stabilization and behavior recovery units. Quintin states his goal is “to become part of the change he hopes to see in the world and believes that everyone must continue to grow in pursuit of becoming the best version of themselves.” Quintin is accepting patients through various insurance plans and self-pay.
Proctor Rogers received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College before going on to receive his Master’s Degree in Community Agency Counseling from Clemson University. He received licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Proctor has over 20 years of experience, including working many years in state mental health agencies. While he has worked with clients of all ages, Proctor has spent most of his career working with children and adolescents through issues ranging from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by physical and sexual abuse. He uses multiple theories in his counseling methods but is also certified to provide Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Mr. Rogers states he “went into counseling to help people better understand themselves and be better prepared for life’s difficulties.” Proctor is currently accepting patients with Blue Cross plans, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), self-pay, and will be extending to others soon.
Oprah Ingram received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Troy University before receiving her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Capella University. Oprah received licensure from the State of South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Oprah found her calling as a clinical Mental Health Counselor by serving a diverse population and has experience with conflict resolution as well as helping individuals cope with the journey of everyday life. In addition, Ms. Ingram is drawn to the emerging adulthood population, focusing on transitioning from adolescence, as well as helping emerging adults learn to adapt to leaving home, finishing education, entering the workforce, starting a family, redefining relationships with parents, and having hopes for the future. Oprah states she "focuses on building therapeutic relationships using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavior Modification theories, and various other positive coping skills." Oprah is currently accepting patients through various insurance plans and self-pay.
